About Popstar AI, a Fan-Built POPSTAR Video Generator

What Popstar AI is, how the photo-to-video flow works, where its limits are, how we source the guides we publish, and how to get in touch.

Popstar AI is a browser tool on popstarai.video. You give it one photo of yourself, and an AI video model puts you in the role that Justin Bieber plays in the 2020 DJ Khaled and Drake music video "POPSTAR". What comes back is an MP4 with the original song, either vertical 9:16 for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts or wide 16:9 like the original video. Nothing to film, nothing to storyboard.

Why we built this site

The format took off after Neymar posted an AI-made version on Instagram on 2026-10-02 with the caption "Lil Ney". Which AI tool he used has not been made public. Plenty of people then asked the same thing: how do I put myself in that clip? Popstar AI is a straightforward answer to that question, backed by guide pages that explain the trend honestly.

Is this an official product of the artists?

No. This is an independent fan tool. It has no connection to DJ Khaled, Drake, Justin Bieber, Neymar, or any label or management behind them, and none of those parties has seen or endorsed it. Their names appear here only so you can tell which trend we are talking about.

How does the generator work, and where does it fall short?

You upload a photo, the request is sent to a third-party AI video generation provider, and that provider renders the clip. We do not train or run the video model ourselves. Because the rendering happens outside our servers, the look of the result, the speed and the supported options can shift whenever the provider changes something.

Every render is a fresh AI generation, not a frame-by-frame copy of the original video. Your face, outfit, hands, background and motion may come out differently from one attempt to the next, and fast gestures are a common weak spot. Check the finished file before you post it.

If a render fails, or the provider's safety filter blocks it, the credits you spent on that attempt are returned to your balance automatically. There is no free tier at the moment: clips start at 7 credits for 5 seconds at 480p, and none of them carries a watermark.

What does the site publish besides the tool?

Alongside the generator you will find guides: a trend explainer, a how-to, prompt examples, a Lil Ney page, a Messi variant, comparison pages for alternatives, a guide to what it costs, plus an FAQ. For these pages we cite only what has a news source behind it. Anything we could not confirm is marked as not publicly confirmed, and competitor details carry the date they were checked (2026-10-13). The rules we follow are listed in our Editorial Policy.

Paying for renders

Credits are sold as one-time packs, and there are monthly and yearly subscriptions too. A third-party payment processor takes the payment. Details on money-back cases are in the Refund Policy.

Photo rules and honest labelling

Upload only pictures that you own or are allowed to use. Photos of celebrities and of anyone under 18 are not permitted. When you share a result, mark it as AI-generated wherever the platform has a label for that, and do not pass it off as genuine footage of a real artist or athlete. The binding rules sit in our Terms of Service.
